I think my family could do with some of these.

I am married and have kept my maiden name which is not unusual, but the confusion occurs because our children have my maiden name also and not my husband’s. As a result I have been referred to as part of a lesbian couple and have been forced to explain that “yes I am married” at some inopportune moments, such as during childbirth.
