SHAG at Corey Helford Gallery- 11.22.09
On breathtaking gallery openings ~ SHAG’s “Autumn’s Come Undone” show at the Corey Helford Gallery is incredible. I showed you a preview earlier, and now the full show preview is available here… the show consists of new paintings as well as huge 6-foot wide panoramic giclee panels on canvas ~ in singles, pairs, and triples ~ these larger than life panoramas have so many details going on at once you can literally stand and stare at them constantly discovering more and more! The way they are displayed in the gallery is beautiful in and of itself ~ take a look at the scene on the next page!
Hi!
Are these painted? The close up of the guy with the question mark over his head looks like there are no brush strokes!
I know Shag’s always been clean lined (I was amazed 10 years back when I saw his stuff, I thought it was all digital) but these look solid as well.
I thought he might have finally gone to digital printing.
Awesome stuff, I’ve been pretty meh on Shag for quite a while ever since he started doing more “Mod” stuff, but now his stuff looks like it has some new life. The sizes are also pretty neat!
