On more fun branding/design ~ i love what the kids at Dumbrella did embracing Recession/Hobo chic ~ i've have always loved a good use of cardboard and brown paper though... now if only they gave you your goodies in a bag tied to the end of a stick bindle style? Also noteworthy? It's not just web comics into tshirts, books, and stickers anymore ~ i was impressed to see how much incredible artwork (both 2+3D)... take a peek at some of my favorite offerings on the next page. Why, yes, that IS a Cardboard DIY Rhino! And seriously ~ who doesn't need a laser cut, build it yourself, cardboard full bodied Rhino for their desk? (This is only Rambling Robbie JR. by the way ~ there is a larger dachshund sized one as well as an even tinier one!) If these feel familiar, you are probably thinking of Cardboard Safari's others ~ like their Moose Head Trophy for your wall, which i'm still so tempted by! These Rhinos are their first full bodied creatures.

For those following my tweets ~ these are the pics that i was getting those funny looks from neighbors and passing cars over... but to be fair i was crouched in the grass in the front yard shooting a cardboard rhino? But still! Anyhow ~ impressive to see how perfectly cut these are ~ take a peek at how organized (tabbed!) the pieces arrive... fun detail shots and many more crazy rhino shots on the next page.

Been doing a lot of moving lately, and one of my pet peeves is being stuck with piles of boxed up stuff that isn't unpacked, there's something so unsettling about living amongst a pile of boxes, as if ready to bolt again... but more often than not, those boxes during transitory times serve as places to sit, makeshift tables and more... so i couldn't help but smile when i ran across this new piece at PID ~ the Wannabe by Llotllov which is a powder coated steel table that comes with a box... so when you moving, or if you never want to unpack, that box becomes a functional piece of furniture, and the box nearly disappears!
