When you see the coconuts all eaten out like this ~ you know the giant robber crabs are near… apparently they can even climb UP a coconut tree and knock them down before eating?!?! crabs18.jpg

those robber crabs also called coconut crabs…here in the yaeyama island they call them yashigani, those ones get like 60 years old and are the biggest land crabs, strong as hell, peoples eat them here and pay lots of money to get them on the plate…i never had one, but everybody says it taste great.
