AbsoluteXtracts and Jeremy Fish teamed up for a premium limited edition FISH TANKS! And while I shared it on NOTCOT.org a while back, i finally found one and it was too cute to resist (also that Tangie is delicious and potent) and HAD to share close up pics! It’s even nicer in person!
The Premium Limited Edition FISH TANKS spared no detail - complete with Custom Gold Fish Scale battery (that is compatible with most other cartridges!), Premium Gold-tipped ABX Tangie cartridge (with fish!), collector’s edition packaging, and velvet vape carrying case. Dare i say, it feels absurdly fancy in the funnest, silliest way possible? It’s such a fun mashup of the art of Jeremy Fish and FISH and quite the conversation starter compared to those boring vapes.
Check out the details on the next page…

The Path of TOTALITY! What a phrase. Can you believe the hype and merch madness going on across the US in preparation for tomorrow’s solar eclipse? A lot of it is pretty painful. Yes yes, from a fascination of space and nature standpoint it’s truly awe inspiring… but putting that aside for this post, it’s been hard to ignore the creative inspiration it’s triggered as well!
Nashville is one of the largest cities in the “path of totality” and as such, it’s become quite the event tomorrow… which also means that my Nashville centric instagram feed has been flooded with everything from eclipse cotton candy cocktails and smoothies to cookies, tshirts, gig posters and more… and they are pretty awesome! I tried to search for more gorgeous imagery from other towns and cities, but haven’t found much worth sharing yet (so please leave comments with links if you know of some to highlight!)
Ready for Eclipse Graphic Overload? To the next page!
[p.s. Nashville overload? It’s my creative muse of a city lately… Let’s talk if you want to help me get hooked on another?]

Back from Nashville - we’ve been so deep in real estate, research, and other projects not yet ready for public sharing, all the public NOTCOT action is still focused on NOTCOT.org right now. Thanks to all of you who’ve reached out thru other channels to chat and find out more! If you’re curious to find out more or possibly collaborate on making fun, exciting things happen - let’s chat!
After a dozen years of sharing (and perhaps over-sharing) all the most exciting visual aspects of my life with you all, it’s definitely been a struggle to be quieter here while so much is going on in my non-digital life! But i will say this ~ it’s been fascinating to plant seeds and find ways to invest in creative, passion-filled new income streams to keep all the dream projects going without being ad/affiliate dependent! Though, as can be expected, the more fun those get, the more it all snowballs… but NOTCOT.org is still my daily moment of zen, as i find and share nuggets of inspiration!

Currently in Nashville (again!) - it seems that our little real estate side project has been growing faster than expected. Though it has made me realize that the only way to take a true vacation from one thing, is to be so busy with another that you can’t even think about the first! But that also means it’s making me figure out what i miss (and what i don’t!)
If you’re curious what we’re up to currently, take a peek on the @NOTlabs Instagram…

New NOTlabs project in the wild! Here are the invitations for the 2017 Coca Cola CMO Leadership Summit! Focusing on the theme of “thriving in the next industrial revolution,” to demonstrate human and robot symbiosis, we created a sculpture of a human hand and a robot hand coming together. Part invitation and part desk object, they are perfectly suited to hold your phone or business cards.
These handmade pieces are cast in resin, painted, and mounted on laser etched wood bases that have the light bulb logo on the top, and a quote and logos on the bottom. We made a first run of 130 pieces, packed them up, and shipped them all over the US, but not before taking some photos to share with you! Take a look at the details and making-of on the next page.

Sorry it’s been a little quiet - all the less shareable online parts of life have been taking over. From less visually creative seeds being planted for future (super creative!) potential, but that doesn’t keep us from seeing and sharing what’s inspiring us over at NOTCOT.org! Click the squares to find out more of course…
And for more creative endeavors… we’ve been sharing what we can (so far!) on @NOTlabs instagram, but last night we just got these 128 boxes packed up and ready for the fedex man to pick up in a few! Such popping red cubes! Naturally, we had to build a giant pyramid of them in the garage!
Perhaps more to come on this project soooooon, after the recipients get their surprises?

How mesmerizingly beautiful are Passiflora Flowers? AND they produce delicious Passion Fruit?!?! I’ve been looking for an excuse to plant some for a while, but didn’t want to have an area where the vines could engulf surrounding trees.
So, when a monster house popped up behind ours, Shawn and i were inspired to create a private nook off the bedroom. We imagined a trellis with L shaped bench - clean, simple, wooden and angled ever so perfectly to be comfortable to lean and lounge on. Something that would pair with both smaller coffee tables for hanging out, as well as a dining/work table when appropriate. Something that could withstand the elements, and inspire us every time we walk by. From the outside, the vines would slowly camouflage the structure, from the inside, you’d be seated in a lush, private oasis.
We designed and built it earlier this year, and i’ve been waiting to have the vines fill in and flower to take more pictures for a post… well, they have not only been filling in super fast, but also flowering, and are currently bearing quite a bit of fruit! So take a look on the next page for a peek at the process from start to finish… well the current state of it anyhow, who knows if we’ll keep adding more?!?!

1964 Supply Company! There’s such a natural connection between art + cannabis, i’m surprised we haven’t seen more collaborations so far! Of course these caught my eye, because i’m a huge fan of Jeremy Fish, but the other artists working with 1964 Supply Company are great too (including Tristan Eaton, Katie So, Joe Wilson and Ben Tour!) Why 1964? “We named ourselves the 1964 Supply Company partly to recognize the year that Professor Mechoulam discovered the THC molecule; the psychoactive component in cannabis,” says their about page. Their product lines include flower, vapes, and pre-rolls all beautifully packaged and displayed to show off art inspired by the various strains. Take a peek at some of their fun packaging and art on the next page!
p.s. If you’re in LA next week, they are having a launch party coinciding with the Secret Walls 11th Anniversary Art Battle!

No matter what madness is happening in the world ~ here are 25 things that keep me inspired, hopeful, and balanced enough to take on the rest. Click the squared to find out more on NOTCOT.org!
Go Preds! Stanley Cup madness is becoming quite the party throughout Nashville right now! What a trip… just back from yet another Nashville trip. We’ve been back and forth quite a bit the last few years, but especially the last few months! It feels like our American Airlines LAX-BNA flights are becoming our commuter flights.
While friends keep asking what it is about Nashville that I love (beyond Shawn’s family being there, and his having grown up there) ~ this flight home helped me realize it’s been a great escape! It’s an amazing city in the midst of SO much growth, and their momentum and rate of change has been infectious. It’s that perfect scale of small enough to keep up with what’s new (even from afar) and big enough to constantly find new things… and the real estate market is booming (still!) There’s been non stop construction on every scale for the last few years, a few new hotels (from luxury boutiquey artsy ones to mega business traveler hotels) each trip, so many new restaurants and shops, and it feels like a new neighborhood emerges each trip (realtors and developers just keep coming up with new names?) Getting to catch up on their complex history, while exploring the present state of things (growing pains and all), and diving in to understand the future of Nashville has been quite the hyper-speed education. I’ve learned more about how a city grows and evolves from the cultural, political, and financial aspects the last few years than ever before… and while i’m not sure how it all fits in with the NOTCOT side of my brain quite yet, i’m sure it will all make sense soon! But for now, buying houses we adore (that need some love, but have so much potential) have been our little way of investing in the future of where this amazing city is going.
As for the more NOTCOT side of things… while it’s fun to see all the new shops/design projects emerging, much of it does seem to reflect things you can find all over the world (from the hipster coffee shops to the boutiques that seem better at instagram than face to face customer service to the reclaimed wood/tile overdoses) - but what most inspires me are the products and experiences that are uniquely Nashville… and that seems to come in the form of nice people, great food, and lively music (and the Predators!) The real trick with visiting Nashville lately, seems to be unearthing the older hidden gems before they might disappear!
Take a peek on the next page to see some of the fun we’ve had, and the progress on our latest NOTCOT Nashville Project House (in Lockeland Springs!) on the next page.
